I'm about halfway through John Steinbeck's "Travels With Charley," and I've been able to take a lot from what he's written and apply it to things I see and experience in my own life. One thing he talks about is mapping out back roads to travel on as opposed to traveling the highways. He says one could travel across the entire country without seeing a single thing. These are just some snaps out my car window on my own "travels with Charles". . . which is far from a Steinbeck experience.
